About

I am 17 years old and I have never taken a single art class. Everything I know about painting I learned by studying the masters — copying their work until I understood why every choice they made was the right one.

I work primarily in acrylic on large-format canvas, focused on figurative and historical subjects. I also paint Orthodox icons and create concept art and illustration.

In 2025 I held my first solo exhibition at Colegiul Național Petru Rareș, Piatra Neamț, showing five large-format reinterpretations of 19th century European masters.

Orthodox Icons

The Orthodox icon is not a painting — it is a window into the sacred. Each icon is written with prayer and intention, following the canons of the Byzantine tradition while remaining a living, personal act of devotion. I work on wooden panels prepared with gesso, using traditional techniques and acrylic.

Single Saint Icon
One saint or holy figure on a prepared wooden panel. Traditional Byzantine gold background, nimbus, and inscription. Sizes from 20×25 cm to 40×50 cm. Full consultation on patron saint, size, and style before work begins.
from € 600
Theotokos — Mother of God
Our Lady depicted in the canonical Byzantine tradition — Hodigitria, Eleusa (Tenderness), or Orans. The Theotokos icon is among the most requested and carries deep spiritual weight. Especially meaningful for families, births, and blessings.
from € 700
Triptych / Family Icon
Three panels — Christ, Theotokos, and a patron saint — or any combination requested. A complete sacred composition for a home iconostasis or altar. Hinged or mounted separately. Meaningful gift for weddings, baptisms, or anniversaries.
from € 1,800
Christ Pantocrator
The Lord Almighty — the most powerful icon in the Orthodox tradition. Depicted frontally, blessing with one hand, holding the Gospel with the other. A profound spiritual presence for any room or chapel.
from € 800
Guardian Angel
Especially beloved for children's rooms and baptism gifts. The guardian angel icon is painted in a gentle, luminous style — warm luminous background, soft treatment of the wings and garments. Can be personalised with the child's name.
from € 600
Custom / Rare Saints
Any saint, martyr, hierarch, or holy scene from the Orthodox calendar. If you have a patron saint not listed above — St. Andrew, St. Catherine, St. Parascheva, or any other — simply describe what you need and we discuss from there.
from € 600

All icons are painted on prepared wooden panels (levkas ground). Gold leaf nimbus included. Each icon ships with a certificate and a brief note on the saint or scene depicted. International shipping available. Commission time: 3–8 weeks depending on complexity.

The Process

I
Study

Every painting begins with months of studying the original — understanding the master's compositional choices, light sources, and emotional intent.

II
Drawing

Precise pencil drawing transferred to canvas. Every figure, every drapery fold, every architectural detail mapped before paint touches the surface.

III
Ebauche

Underpainting in burnt sienna — building the value structure, establishing light and shadow before any colour is introduced.

IV
Colour

Layer by layer, glazing and direct painting in combination — building depth, luminosity, and the final surface that makes academic painting unmistakable.
